Nomad ATC
The Nomad ATC project began with a clear ambition: to develop an electric off-road wheelchair that offers mobility on the beach and in challenging terrain.
The initiator, a local entrepreneur who has been renting and selling beach wheelchairs for years, saw that the existing market offerings did not meet his vision. He wanted to create a robust, reliable, and innovative solution—and after building several prototypes himself, he turned to MST to bring the idea to life.
We executed the entire development process.
We started with a thorough analysis of the prototype and conducted extensive real-world testing to map out performance, safety, and risks. Next, we performed a CE analysis and identified all relevant norms, standards, and legal requirements, including MDR criteria. Based on these insights, we created a risk assessment and adjusted the design to ensure compliance with all regulations as well as the functional requirements of the client.
After validating the improvements through revised prototypes, we further developed the vehicle into a fully production-ready version. This included not only technical optimizations, but also ensuring that the product can be manufactured reliably and at scale.
Today, MST is responsible for both the design and the production of the Nomad ATC—an innovative solution that provides mobility and freedom where it is needed most.
